Wellbeing and the Environment Learning Exchange
This one day event took place on 17th November 2017 and was hosted by the Highland Third Sector Interface and developed through the Adult Health and Wellbeing Forum and the Highland Environment Forum; it was supported by NHS Highland and Scottish Natural Heritage.
The purpose of the event was to encourage more links between environmental groups and health and well-being-related organizations, with a view to developing greater awareness of the potential of the outdoor environment to help address health and social care issues. SNH was also developing its initiative on “Our Natural Health Service” and was considering a pilot site in Highland.
Alongside this was the formation of a group to develop a Green Health Partnership (GHP), as a result the wellbeing and environment event became the appropriate occasion to find out from practitioners what would be needed to make this new partnership successful.
