I feel that J and I get on really well and I am so pleased to have been matched with such a lovely lady. During the time I spend with her, she is very talkative, is very happy and likes to talk about life on the farm and her family. "Trudi - Befriender of a lady living with dementia"
It was great to assist Miss N to go out for the first time since her stay in hospital. She had not been out in months and enjoyed it so much, even though it was just to attend a chiropody appointment ! Apart from the comfortable feet, she also felt she had escaped the four walls at home. "Volunteer Car Driver"
Coming home from the Health Centre, my client who is unable to walk any distance, asked if I could stop at her favourite bakers to get two hot Highland Pasties. As there was no parking close to the bakers, I popped in for her, and tempted by the steaming hot pasties, I upped the order to three. Half an hour later I enjoyed my reward of a happy client and my treat of a pastie. "Volunteer Car Driver"
We met at the church and I was invited to her house for "a cup of tea", but there was also plenty of food also! We shared a wonderful time, talking, laughing and visiting her friend. The cup of tea became "Fish & Chips". I love her energy for life. What an amazing choice of person for me to befriend.

I took three ladies up Kinchurdy Road in Boat of Garten after their pensioners lunch to show them the new luxury houses set amongst the trees. I brought back memories for Una who hadnt been there for many years, ant the others who had never been there before. They all said how much they enjoyed the lunch and run, and cant wait to go again.
