Board Trustee (Unpaid)
The Highland Third Sector Interface (HTSI) is an award winning regional development, advocacy and support organisation for community groups, charities and social enterprises in Highland. Following recent developments within the organisation and changes to our governing structure we are looking to recruit several members for new positions within the Board.
We are very interested in hearing from people with skills or experience in:
· Community Development
· Social Entrepreneurship
· Media and Branding
· Digital and Social Media
· Legal and Risk Management
We would also be interested to hear from candidates across the Highland region, particularly those from are remote and rural areas. To support this all reasonable expenses will be covered by the HTSI but the position of Trustee is voluntary.

Isobel Grigor- Chair
Isobel is the Chief Executive of Calman Trust, with responsibility for leading on the organisation’s support and learning services to young people, as well as the organisation’s social enterprises at Café Artysans and Ness Soaps. Her academic background is in social policy, with a Doctorate in Social Administration from Edinburgh University. Isobel is also a Board member of ILM Highland, assessor for the national Cashback for Communities programme and Director/Trustee of the Life Changes Trust.

John Wilson - Vice Chair
Recently retired with over 40 years experience as a manager, business owner and director in both public and private sectors of economy.
Additionally, John has been actively involved as a volunteer within the community, culminating in 7 years as Vice Chair of Inverness College UHI. Has also been actively involved in a local charity bringing children over from Chernobyl for respite holidays. Married with 4 sons and recently a dog owner to 2 beautiful Cocker Spaniel pups.

Alasdair Christie
Alsadair is the General Manager at Inverness, Badenoch and Strathspey CAB. He is also a Highland Councillor within Inverness.

James Dunbar
James is the founding Chief Executive of New Start Highland and a director for Social Enterprise Scotland. He is founding Chair of Highlands and Islands Business Finance, a two time Institute of Directors "Director of the Year" winner and in 2013 Ernst and Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year Awards recognised him as Scotland's current leading social entrepreneur.

Val Gale
Val is currently the Chief Executive of CALA (Care and learning Alliance) who offer a wider range of Childhood practice and family support services, she has worked within the third sector for over 25 years and is committed to the ethos of getting it right for every citizen. As a former Human Resources Manager she has previous experience of staff development and employment legislation. In her spare time she loves walking, spending time with her family and has a keen interest in Mindfulness.

Adam Garry Sutherland
Garry, a native of Caithness, retired in 2011 as Deputy Chief Constable following thirty years service in Northern Constabulary. He is a former Chair of Inverness College UHI Board of Management and of The Highland Third Sector Interface. He currently runs a small, specialist tourism business and is a director of three other businesses working in the landscaping, health care and business consultancy markets. Garry is married to Catriona and they have two grown up children and one grandson.
