Ross-Shire Voluntary Action

Ross-shire Voluntary Action (RVA) was established in 1971 to serve the geographical area of Ross & Cromarty and 44 years on, RVA continues to provide invaluable services to the voluntary sector in the area.

We are proud to support the work of our local voluntary sector and bring benefit to our local communities through many strands of our work including:

  1. playing a key role in developing thriving and sustainable communities
  2. supporting voluntary organisations to continue to develop and deliver quality services
  3. grow our social economy
  4. effectively supporting our Social Enterprises to develop and grow

This support takes many forms – from providing guidance, advice, networking opportunities to  PVG, training and  and advisory and representative roles.

Today, RVA continues to work to provide a high level of support to the voluntary sector within the area  including promotion of  volunteering and citizenship and empowering our communities to be vibrant and the local Voluntary organisations to be sustainable. We are one of the 8  partners of the Highland Third Sector Interface, which provides a strong representation of the sector at many different forums up to and including Scottish Government level.
