Mhairi joined HTSI in October 2012 after almost seven years with Ross and Cromarty CAB.  She has worked and volunteered within the sector since leaving Dornoch Academy including teaching in Romania, Befriending, Glasgow 2014 and is currently a Director on the Board of the Scottish Fire And Rescue Service.

Siobhan joined HTSI in Nov 2019. She makes sure all our wages are paid (and all our bills)! She enjoys spending time with her kids, who have her attending various dancing and football events across the country. She likes to support a wee team from Glasgow that play in green. Why not a local team?

Leah joined 2017, and is the new TSI Services Manager, taking on a lot of the work from former HTSI Deputy Chief Officer, Ian Donald.

Iain McKenzie

Development Officer (New Projects)

Iain joined in May 2018 after  experience of working in both the voluntary sector (30 years) and statutory sectors (15 years). He has worked in the areas of homelessness, addictions, mental health, housing development and child care. Iain worked in the central belt, the Highlands and Honduras in Central America.

Spike Setch

Spike joined HTSI in  August 2018. A digital media whizz kid, he graduated from RGU with a degree in Media. Having previously worked as part of the Adult Health and Wellbeing team with Iain, he has a new role as the eLearning and Website Development Officer.

Sue Fraser

Sue joins us after many years in the Health Service. She is an avid crafter, with felt being her favourite medium. She loves nothing more than taking a nice cook book to bed with her at night.

Jane Tattum

Development Officer (Volunteering)

Jane joined HTSI from In This Together in 2020, she worked in charity retail for 5 years before studying Community Education with UWS and focussing her professional interests on to volunteering. She volunteered as a care provider and TEFL teacher in the past, which sparked her interest in volunteering. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.

Margaret McShane

Community Justice Partnership Manager

Margaret joined the team in March 2016 in a post that we host on behalf of the multi-agency governing group overseeing the redesign of Community Justice. Margaret comes to this role with a multitude of experience and knowledge  rom her previous work with the Police.  Shortly after joining the staff team she won our 'HTSI Bake off' and she has since defender her crown!

Joanne McCoy

Joanne joined the team in July 2013 as the Let's Get on With It Together project officer with a wealth of knowledge and personal experience to enrich the work of the project. Joanne has previously been employed across the private and third sectors as well as running her own business.  The focus of her project on self management for people with long term health conditions is something which she feels very passionate about.

After joining the HTSI in 2013 Roy has become a real addict of chair balloon volley ball. When he's not honing his skills with the LTC (Long Term Condition) group in Nairn he is supporting the communities of Nairn and Inverness to better facilitate self management for people with a long term condition.

Alan Grant

LGOWIT Development Officer and Community Networker

Alan joined HTSI after several years working in the green energy sector. Apparently, he wasn’t being worked hard enough there because he left to take on TWO roles with us: he is both a development worker and a community networker for LGOWIT.  Since starting at LGOWIT he has become an avid Ross County fan because 1: it’s his job and 2: he can’t resist a free (macaroni) pie!

Mary O'Hara

Mary joined LGOWIT in July 2018 as part-time Communications and Course Administrator. Previously Mary worked with YouthBorders in Galashiels and before that as a business analyst, mainly with local government organisations. Mary has become a boccia enthusiast since joining LGOWIT and also enjoys hill-walking, tree-planting, and long empty beaches.

Kirsteen Campbell

LGOWIT Community Networker (Caithness & Sutherland)

Kirsteen joined the LGOWIT team back in May 2018, previously working for Befriending Caithness. She has a passion for intergenerational work  as a volunteer in her native  Caithness & Sutherland.  She has a love of darts, sitting on the  Caithness Youth darts committee as both her children are keen darts players.  She used to run a café, so is  a dab hand at baking and cooking, ready to knock up a batch of cakes at the  drop of a hat!

Anne joined LGOWIT on 1st August this year as Community Networker. Previously Anne was an MS Specialist nurse with NHS Highland for 14 years before taking early retirement in 2016. Anne likes gardening and foreign travel.

Sodi joins us to bring the LGOWIT training manual to the digital world! Originally a Londoner, he was charmed by the delights of the Highlands. He is studying to become a reflexologist. Sodi loves any excuse for a BBQ, at any time of the year!

Kate Hathway

LGOWIT Community Networker (Skye, Lochalsh & Wester Ross)

Kate joined LGOWIT in July 2019. Previously she worked for 14 years around community regeneration, planning and renewable energy but took a break for a few years to have a family, become a  complementary therapist  and run an adventure travel company in Sri Lanka.  Kate loves cycling and surfing but she’s terrible at both of them so might well take up Boccia!

Gemma joined HTSI from Connecting Young Carers where she helped raise awareness and support for young carers across the Highlands. She has also worked at Barnardo’s helping care-experienced young people into employment, and suppported others within a residential setting. Outside work time is spent with her son, dog and enjoying rugby, although she doesn't actually know anything about the game!

Ainya joined HTSI in January 2019 as a Community Engagement Officer as part of the Aspiring Communities project. She is currently a Custody Link Worker based in Burnett Road Police Station. She has a small dog called Elton.
