Luthien and Courtney (behind the camera for HTSI) had a lovely visit to Moy Country Fair on Friday. Despite a little drizzle, it was a great day out and an opportunity to meet charities and organisations involved in work across conservation, wildlife and outdoor activities.

We enjoyed chatting with the Scottish SPCA, who are looking for fundraisers. Then the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT), who shared their fascinating work around wildcats. They are looking for a small number of volunteers interested in helping monitor wildcats in their habitat. Although we were reliably informed it is not quite as glamorous as it sounds, with volunteers spending up to seven hours in the dark watching a camera for movement!

We also enjoyed chatting with the Children's Hospices Across Scotland team, who were selling delicious strawberries and raspberries to raise funds for their charity, they are currently looking for volunteer speakers and fundraisers.

It was fantastic to meet so many people and hear about the work they do. We even managed to enjoy some delicious food, browse the local produce and have a go at archery. This marks the last of our summer events for the year. It has been a real pleasure to be out and about in the community.
