Tuesday 30th September 2025, 9:15am - 3:45pm, Glen Mhor Hotel, Ness Bank, Inverness, IV2 4SG

Generations Working Together (GWT) is excited to be heading back to the Highlands for our next Scottish Intergenerational Conference & Excellence Awards Celebration. Join us in our mission to develop, expand and improve intergenerational practice across Scotland.

The Programme:

The morning will start early at 9.15am with an opportunity to visit our information village, hosting stalls from a variety of local and national organisations which will involve existing examples of intergenerational working.  Key presentations will then officially open the conference at 10am involving GWT and Volunteering Scotland followed by a presentation to the Winning and Highly Commended projects nominated for GWT's Excellence Awards.

Lunch time will provide a great opportunity to speak further with exhibitors, meet individuals who are facilitating intergenerational projects and talk with like minded people keen to create partnerships to develop new and creative intergenerational projects/programmes.

After the lunchtime networking, delegates will have two rounds of interactive workshops to choose from during the afternoon including the following topics:

Workshops - Round 1

  • Developing sustainable intergenerational work (Lorraine George, Learning & Development Officer, GWT)

  • Developing intergenerational volunteering (Luthien Lark, Regional Development Officer for Volunteering, Highlands Third Sector Interface)
