Role Description
Our Day Services volunteers directly support people living with dementia to communicate and actively participate in hobbies, interests and activities they enjoy within a small group setting.
If you are aged 16 and over and have a few hours on a regular basis to offer, Alzheimer Scotland wants to hear from you!
This role would work across 2 bases. Our service in Tain which runs on a Monday & Friday 09:30-16:30 & our service in Dingwall which runs on a Tuesday & Thursday 09:30-16:30. We run two sessions each day; a morning session running from 10:00-13:00 and an afternoon session running from 13:30-16:30, meaning you would be welcome to volunteer however suits – a morning shift, afternoon shift or both.
Training Provided:
Local induction training is given to increase your understanding of dementia and give you an awareness of the values and principles of Alzheimer Scotland. We aim to ensure that you feel confident in your volunteering role.
