Various Shop Volunteer Roles

over 17

rolling deadline

99 High St, Fort William

Flexible – a few hours a week or a couple of hours occasionally.

Role Description

Give volunteering a go! It’s a great way to find new meaning in your community, gain new skills or use your existing skills to help others. British Heart Foundation volunteers help fund lifesaving science to improve the lives of families and loved ones living with heart and circulatory diseases. Volunteering with us is easy, flexible and inclusive. Any time you can spare, we’d love you to join our friendly Fort William shop team. Choose a role that suits your interests: Sales Floor: greet customers, answer questions and keep the shop attractively displayed. Stockroom: sort donations, prepare items for sale and keep the stockroom organised. Housekeeping: help keep the shop clean, safe and welcoming. Visual Merchandising: create eye-catching window and shop-floor displays. Online Lister: write accurate descriptions and upload items to online selling platforms. Online Sales Photographer: photograph donated items and help upload the images. Choose the role you would like to apply for—you will not be expected to do everything listed. Whether you enjoy meeting people, being creative, working with digital platforms or helping behind the scenes, your time will make a huge difference. Applicants must be aged 17 or over. This is an unpaid voluntary opportunity, and BHF is unable to accept applicants with unspent criminal convictions.

Training Provided:

You will receive support from the friendly BHF shop team, with training and development suited to your chosen role. You do not need previous retail experience, and the team will help you develop the skills and confidence you need.

Volunteering with British Heart Foundation comes with plenty of benefits, including:

A 25% discount on donated goods and a 10% discount on new goods.
Unlimited, free and confidential support through Retail Trust.
