Gardening Volunteers

North Kessock Primary School Garden

Flexible

Role Description

Go Flourish have installed a garden and dedicated Liaison Teacher at North Kessock Primary School, where all children now receive curriculum-based lessons each week outside in nature. Depending on the time of year, we need help with planting, growing, weeding, watering, harvesting, garden admin tasks, general maintenance and garden development. The garden especially needs help over the school holidays. This is a community space and so we are keen to hear your ideas on what you’d like to see happening in the garden when it comes to sharing skills, workshops and community events. Gardening knowledge is a bonus, but what is most important is enthusiasm and there are many skills that will come in handy in the garden. Please contact lyn@goflourishcharity.org for more information.

Training Provided:

Formal training isn't provided but the garden is designed by JJ Gladwin from Black Isle Garden Design and it is a wonderful chance to learn more about horticulture as well as sharing your own skills.

We currently have some Community Garden Days starting in Spring 25 and are welcoming new volunteers to come along and help out. Tools & gloves will be provided but please bring along your own if you have your favourites. You will find us in the garden on the following Thursdays between 3-5pm:

Thurs 3rd April
Thurs 1st May
Thurs 5th June
Thurs 26th June

You are welcome to just turn up to the Go Flourish Garden at North Kessock Primary School during these times (entrance to the garden from the gate on Drumsmittal Road) or contact lyn@goflourishcharity.org if you have any questions.
