Inverness

Reserve shifts Monday - Sunday

Role Description

We are currently seeking Volunteer Ward Clerks to join our team within the Inpatient Unit, and we are also looking for reserve volunteers who can help cover holidays and sickness. Volunteer Ward Clerks play a vital role in supporting the nursing team by welcoming visitors, answering phone calls, and (during weekday shifts) assisting with administrative tasks. This support allows our nurses to focus fully on patient care. We have weekend vacancies for this role. Weekend shifts can be quieter than weekdays, but they are equally important—you’ll still be greeting visitors and managing calls, ensuring the unit runs smoothly. If you’re interested in being part of this essential service, either as a regular weekend volunteer or as a reserve to provide cover when needed, we’d love to hear from you.

Training Provided:

• Induction
• 3 shadow training shifts
• Cyber Security – Annually
• Moving and Handling (inanimate objects) – 2 yearly
• Fire Awareness - Annually
