Role Description

Highland Wildfire Response is a volunteer led Community Interest Company developing Scotland's first community based wildfire response network. Using the proven Mountain Rescue model, we are building trained, equipped volunteer wildfire units that can protect rural communities, support the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and help suppress wildfires before they escalate. We are looking for a Volunteer Fundraising Officer to help turn this vision into reality. You will identify funding opportunities, support grant applications, develop relationships with sponsors and donors, and help shape our long term fundraising strategy. This flexible role can be carried out remotely, with only a few hours each week, and would suit someone with experience in fundraising, bid writing, business development or relationship management. If you would like to use your skills to help build a new capability that could make a lasting difference to communities across the Highlands, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact us at HighlandWildfireResponse@outlook.com or send us a message through Facebook or LinkedIn for an informal chat.

Training Provided:

Volunteers will receive an induction to Highland Wildfire Response, including our mission, projects and fundraising priorities. We will provide guidance on our fundraising strategy, access to templates and resources, and ongoing support from the leadership team.
Where appropriate, there may also be opportunities to undertake external fundraising training.

For those who wish to become more involved in the organisation, there will be opportunities to develop additional skills and undertake operational training, allowing them to play a wider role in supporting Highland Wildfire Response.
