Role Description
Are you passionate about meeting new people and intrigued by local history? If so, we invite you to join our team of volunteers at Invergordon Museum.
Role Description:
•Welcoming Visitors: As a volunteer, you’ll play a crucial role in welcoming visitors to the museum. Your friendly demeanour will help orientate them, ensuring they make the most of their visit.
•Learning and Sharing: We encourage you to explore the museum’s collections and familiarise yourself with the displays. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and learn from the volunteers on duty.
•Rich History: Invergordon, a small Highland town, boasts a fascinating past. Our museum showcases artifacts from HMS Natal, Invergordon Castle, Naval Mutiny, and the old County Hospital. Additionally, we delve into the stories and displays from WW1 and WW2, as well as the more recent history of the Oil industry and its impact on the area.
What We’re Looking For:
•Enthusiasm: Bring your passion and energy to engage with our visitors.
•Curiosity: A willingness to learn about the museum’s collections and share that knowledge with others.
•Flexibility: Volunteer hours are flexible and can be discussed to accommodate your schedule.
Training and Support:
•We provide in-house training to equip you for this rewarding role.
