Role Description

What's involved in Community Volunteering with Mikeysline? Our Community Volunteers tend to work directly with our Events & Fundraising team. They represent Mikeysline by helping set up and manage stalls at events including distributing information, exchanging merchandise for donations, and being a friendly face. From time to time, they may help to support and/or participate in external organisation events. They often identify places where our posters/banners could be promoted. Some help to set up Community Volunteer Teams in their own communities. Many help raise awareness and information regarding our support services by sharing our social media posts. They assist with fundraising and some arrange their own fundraisers. Contributing ideas and skills is always welcome. What does the commitment look like? Most events take place at the weekends although some will be in the evenings. There is no pressure on you to participate in absolutely everything and your attendance at events will be dependent on your availability, but we would hope that you will be happy to engage with us regularly and help as much as you can.
