Retail Assistant

Join our wonderful retail team at New Start Highland - Nairn! We are looking for positive, reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to support the day-to-day running of our charity shop(s) by providing excellent customer service, maintain an attractive shopping environment and helping generate income that directly supports our charities mission and values. We work with you so that your allocated volunteer shift time is built around what you can offer. Tasks include, but not limited to: -Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, respectful and professional manner -Sorting, rotating, pricing stock -Engaging with members of the public, assisting with their enquiries or help where needed -Processing sales through our till system (handling cash/card payments) -Housekeeping tasks to ensure our retail outlets are clean and presentable at all times -Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers and team members -Support and encourage one and other, implementing our core values at all times We are looking for individuals who are motivated about giving back to their community, and keen to support and encourage our existing volunteers and service users too. We ask that you are friendly and approachable, with good communication skills. You are reliable, honest and able to work as part of a team, but equally, can work independently where required (only once you are confident in your role and fully trained).
