Role Description
The RNLI has a network of local fundraising teams organising a wide range of activities and events, from coffee mornings to supermarket collections to running an online fundraiser, raising vital funds to save lives at sea. Each team is supported by a Community Manager, although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the team themselves.
If you have some free time and you would like to be part of an amazing new group in Inverness, to help with organising and attending collections and events, please get in contact we would love to hear from you.
You will enable volunteer RNLI lifeboat crews to save lives at sea by carrying out and supporting vital fundraising activity in your local community.
What you will be doing:
- Participating in the planning and delivery of a range of fundraising activities in your community and online. This can include anything from emptying a collection box to running an event
- Plannning activities with your fundraising crew to support RNLI campaigns
- Encouraging and welcoming a diverse group of new supporters to assist with fundraising activities and helping to drive our One Crew ethos
- Championing the RNLI and building its reputation in the area
The skills you need:
- Enthusiasm
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A flexible approach to taking on different tasks
Training Provided:
Training to fulfil your volunteer role will be provided and reasonable out of pocket expenses reimbursed
