Charity Shop Lead

Our small community charity shop has huge potential. Currently open one day per week from 2pm - 4pm, the shop provides affordable goods locally while raising funds for the Trust. But with the right person, or small team, this could become something much more. This is not just a “shop helper” role. It’s an opportunity to shape and grow a small social enterprise within our community. What You’d Be Doing •Sorting donated items (identifying quality items vs. recycling/disposal) •Organising and displaying stock attractively •Pricing items appropriately •Serving customers during opening hours •Handling basic cash transactions •Identifying higher-value items suitable for online sale •Selling selected items via platforms such as Vinted, eBay or similar •Occasionally promoting items on our own social media •Exploring creative fundraising ideas (e.g. themed sales, swap events) You will have real scope to influence how the shop develops. This is an opportunity to turn a small local charity shop into a vibrant, sustainable, community enterprise, generating income, reducing waste, and bringing quality goods back into circulation.
