Role Description

🌟 Join the Black Isle Library of Things (BILoT) Working Group🌟 Drive the initiative forward by joining our working group. The group will meet monthly to discuss progress and support the development of the BILoT. Identify gaps in service provision ensuring locations are staffed and equipped. Support will be provided by Transition Black Isle and we are members of Circular Communities Scotland Share and Repair Network, providing wider learning and support from other sharing libraries across the Highlands and nationally. Be part of a wider network providing support and resources: The BILoT is led and supported by Transition Black Isle Transition Black Isle and the BILoT working group. We are members of Circular Communities Scotland’s Share and Repair Network The Share & Repair Network – A project of Circular Communities Scotland. Share and Repair Network guides provide guidance and resources to support the set up and running of sharing libraries. We use the inventory management system, MyTurn, to organise items and make them available again to be borrowed. https://blackislelibraryofthings.myturn.com/ We work closely with Inverness Tool Library learning from them and gaining advice and support from their experience running a local tool sharing library.

Training Provided:

Support from the team and training to use the BILoT inventory management database will be provided.
