Go Flourish is a small charity with a big vision; to reconnect children with nature and improve their mental health, educational achievements and future career opportunities. The aim of Go Flourish is to drive a change in educational policy to make gardens part of school life. Currently, Go Flourish has installed a school garden and a Liaison Teacher at their pilot school - North Kessock Primary School – and plans are in motion for an Inverness primary and a secondary school to form part of their scoping study. Go Flourish are looking for some help with creating social media content to tell the story of Go Flourish and bring it to life. This role would involve a mix of working from home and the school garden at North Kessock Primary School. Volunteer hours are flexible as content can be scheduled in advance although we do require someone who is able to pre-arrange times to go into the school occasionally to work alongside the Liaison Teacher when taking photos in the garden, as well as a short weekly check-in with the Project Coordinator. Please note: As this volunteer role involves working with children in schools, we will need to carry out a PVG Disclosure Scotland check. We’re looking for someone with the following: * An understanding and appreciation of the importance of reconnecting children with nature. * Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage your own time. * Excellent communication skills and an ability to put across the Go Flourish aims in a professional, clear and friendly manner. * Ability to work alongside others (from home and in the garden) and take direction from the Go Flourish staff team whilst using own initiative. * Good photography skills * A good understanding of social media (currently Facebook & Instagram) Please contact our Project Coordinator lyn@goflourishcharity.org if you’d like to find out any more information on this role.
