at least one operational shift every 4-6 weeks.

Role Description

By joining us as a volunteer Duty Controller you will be involved in the scheduling and monitoring the progress of our free transport service to the NHS in the Highland region. The role involves liaising with and booking jobs from the NHS by phone, and allocating jobs to our riders and drivers. We use online tools to manage and track our work, so familiarity with software (eg excel/word) and messaging services (eg WhatsApp) are particularly beneficial. However, full training will of course be given. We operate 7 days/week, and each day is broken down into 3 controller shifts. Each controller is expected to complete at least one operational shift every 4-6 weeks. All volunteers will also be expected to periodically support Highland & Islands Blood Bikes at fundraising events too. You can of course hold other roles within HAIBB.
